This is the story of Molly

Molly and Leigh have been together for 13 years. They depend on each other; they love each other and are always there for each other.

When Molly got sick, Leigh was devastated. She took Molly to the vet to find out what was happening. As the veterinarians ran tests and worked on discovering what was happening with Molly the bill was getting bigger and bigger.

It was determined that Molly had Pyometra. Simply it is a uterine infection, however it can turn deadly quickly!

Though it is most commonly known as a disease of the unaltered female dog, it is also a notable human disease.

It comes on very suddenly and if left untreated can be fatal. It is compared to appendicitis in humans.

When the staff told Leigh what the cost would be to save her fur baby, Leigh gasped as she lives on a fixed income and did not have the money to cover the costs to save her beloved dog.

Leigh was directed to contact OHS and together with the veterinary partner, the team worked together to ensure Molly would receive the care she needed and save her life in the process.

Molly was immediately placed on IV fluids and antibiotics as they prepped her for an emergency spay.

Molly survived the surgery but had months of rehabilitation in front of her, but Leigh would be with her every step of the way!

Today Molly and Leigh are so grateful she was able to get the support she needed and vows to pay back every cent to OHS for saving her Molly.

OHS is committed to keeping pets and people together!

Cost of care: $2,800
