OHS has many cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, and sometimes other small animals, available for adoption throughout the Okanagan Valley. As a foster based organization, with no central building, all animals are living with a volunteer foster until they find a new, loving home.
All available animals are posted in our “Animals For Adoption” photo album on the OHS Facebook page and here on our website below. They are updated in real time. Hover or click on the photo for details and cost.
Please contact the foster home in the photo caption to discuss and meet in person to apply.
An online application form will be provided when you meet the foster volunteer.
Note: A carrier is required when adopting cats or kittens.
Fees are paid by e-transfer at the time of adoption to assist with recovery of some veterinary costs for that animal. The Vet Cost Recovery fee (instead of adoption fees) are listed in the photo captions for each animal and include: first vaccine and deworm, spay or neuter, veterinary exam and chip or tattoo depending on the clinic where the procedures were performed.
Adoptions allow 30 days grace to ensure a good fit, with return of funds within that time frame if animals returned to OHS.
OHS is proud to partner with local stores for in-store adoption events and are grateful to our network of volunteer foster homes throughout the region:
You can make a difference in the life of a local animal.
