Okanagan Humane Society pet adoption

Pet Adoption

Information on all animals available for adoption is displayed in the photo album on our website as fed from our Facebook page. Costs associated with adoptions are to assist with recovery of veterinary fees which include spay or neuter, first (basic) vaccine and deworm, and a tattoo or micro-chip depending on the vet clinic used.  Information on each animal is in its photo caption. Cats and kittens ready for adoption can be visited by contacting their foster homes as posted in their photo captions. Please contact foster homes directly to meet and apply.  There are also some available at the following partner stores.

  • Bosley’s Pet Supplies Stores – in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland and Vernon, BC
  • PetSmart – Kelowna, BC
  • Foster homes – throughout the Okanagan

Adoption forms are available on site at the time of meeting.

Cats and Kittens Available for Adoption

2021 Available cats and kittens

(Disregard Facebook dates - all cats are currently available until marked "adopted" ) At this time during COVID, it is up to the discretion of OHS fosters if they are comfortable with having home visits for a meet and greet for kittens and cats that are available for adoption. Please contact the foster home to discuss the kitty and perhaps meet by video conferencing if they are not comfortable with a home visit. Our fosters will inform any potential adopter of the process of meeting, application, and pick up within Covid-19 safety practices. Vet cost recovery is $150 for each kitty, unless marked otherwise, to pay for the vet procedures already completed: Spay or Neuter, 1st Vaccine & Deworm, Tattoo or Microchip. Click photos for details in the captions. Call orP text foster homes to inquire, meet by video conference where applicable, or at the fosters home, then apply. All adopted OHS kittens and cats have 30 days to ensure a good fit, with return of funds within that time frame if they are to be returned to OHS. (Disregard Facebook dates on photos)
