ASHEILA
7-Years-young Aussie Shep/lab Senior Dog
Asheila is super friendly with a heart of gold. Don't let her age fool you, she still has a lot of pep in her step and energy to burn! She enjoys playing with toys and exploring her yard, followed by a good nap. True to the breed, she can sometimes be protective, and bark, when meeting new people but she settled quickly. Asheila had a bad experience as a puppy with a large breed dog, so she can be dog selective with larger dogs. She is getting to know the cats in the home, and really doesn't pay them much attention. She is very gentle with the kids in her foster home.

BELLA
7 year old female dog Lab Rottweiler X
A few of Bella's favorite things are treats, her dino squeaky toy, a large fenced yard, and her Kong stuffed with peanut butter.

Bella enjoys socializing at the dog park, sleeping at the foot of the bed, and playing fetch. She loves attention from her people and will sometimes give a cute gentle nudge for pets. She loves her people so much she will be your shadow in the house moving room to room with you.

Bella would be content being your one and only. She’s used to being without kitties. She’ll play well with other dogs at the park, but will want you to herself for all the love at home.

Bella likes walking and hiking and is coming along well with leash training. She would thrive in an environment that is consistent, providing the daily exercise and love that she needs!

ANNIE
9-month Pyrenees/Husky X Dog
Annie is a playful, energetic puppy who loves her Nyla bones and Kong's, preferably filled with peanut butter. She likes to be at home in her fully fenced yard to run and play fletch with her toys, jolly balls and anything bouncy! She is fully crate trained and will even put herself to bed at the end of the day. She rides well in the car in a kennel and settles quickly. On leash Annie can pull as she's very excited by everything around her, she will need someone to continue to work on her leash manners with her. She has limited experience with other dogs, but a balanced dog with a proper introduction should be ok. Annie prefers a home with no cats and kids 10+ as she is still learning not to jump up when excited. Annie if fully housetrained but may need help to wipe her feet after a good play session!

Tony is a curious and playful little guy who's sure to bring laughter to your life. He enjoys chasing after his favourite feather wand and climbing to the top of his cat tower to take a nap. While it may take a little time for him to warm up to a new person, once he does, he'll happily follow you from room to room. Lacey is the perfect lady - polite, affectionate, gentle and devoted to her people. She loves going for walks and will go sit at her leash to let you know when she needs out. She would prefer to sleep on the foot of your bed but will also happily curl-up on her own bed. Lacey loves to toss around her stuffie but really prefers her people over toys!

Lacey likes to romp around at puppy play care with other pups that match her energy and she makes friends wherever she goes. She currently lives with children in the home aged 6-12 and a cat. 10 years young male cat. This sweet boy needs a loving home after recently losing his owner under heartbreaking circumstances. Junebug is diabetic and requires easy to administer insulin twice daily, along with a vet-prescribed diet, but he’s full of love and ready to brighten someone’s life. He gets along well with other cats, though a slow introduction to new feline friends would be recommended.

Hi, I’m Moose! I’m a low energy guy and I’m very sweet and affectionate. I love walks, naps, and being home in my safe space with my people. I don’t resource guard, and I’m happy to share my toys and treats with you. If you’re looking for a great companion dog who will always be by your side for pats and cuddles, look no further!

Meeting strangers and new things is hard for me. I have a strong prey drive and guard dog tendencies, but I am working on it. I’ve been in school with Polite Paws learning about how to meet new people and dogs politely. I’m looking for a forever person who can continue my training during my transition to help me learn that the world is not scary.

I much prefer my home environment to be predictable. I'm a bit of an antisocial guy and do better in small family units with no kids or other pets, just us! When I do meet new people, it’s important that we are introduced properly so I know that they are safe. I know this takes a little extra time and patience, but I promise I’ll make up for it by being the best friend you’ve ever had!

He was rescued from the streets in Vernon earlier this year, in desperate need of medical care for his teeth and nails, and is now perfectly healthy, happy and hoppy! Rupert loves to explore his space and be picked up and pet for long periods of time. He is very confident, and would do best in a home where he is the only bunny, or possibly with another confident female bunny. Because of his confidence we would recommend a home with older children.
