OAKLEY
Gorgeous Oakley dog is a 4 yr neutered male looking for his new forever home.

Consistent with his breed, Aussie shepherd/Pyanees x - Oakley could use a nice hobby farm or acreage with lots of space to patrol fence lines and be a beloved family dog on a large property, with lots to do from dusk till dawn. He’s great playing with other dogs also. We are unsure about cats but doesn’t seem to be very prey driven.

The best life for Oakley would be with an active couple, and/or high-school age children to be their friend and constant companion.

He’s had an enormous amount of training and listens very well. Oakley is a free spirit who needs more activity. He exhibits some food or toy guarding - feeding should be carried out separately from other animals or children.

Gentle-hearted and quietly curious, Gingy is a beautiful young girl who is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can blossom at her own pace. She is very cautious at first, but during peaceful moments she'll reward you with sweet slow blinks and the softest little coos.

Gingy enjoys Temptations treats, rolling around with toys or catnip, napping in her cozy dog bed or perched on top of her cat tree watching the world go by. While she isn't ready for cuddles or brushing just yet, she is making progress every day and simply needs someone willing to let her build trust in her own time.

Luke is a handsome 140 lb Mastiff/Great Dane mix who enjoys long walks, relaxing on the couch to watch TV, and will happily do just about anything for a tasty treat!

Luke can be shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience and space, his calm, gentle, and affectionate personality shines through. Once he trusts you, he loves spending time with his people and being part of the family.

Luke would do best as the only pet in an adult home. He is reactive to other dogs and does not get along with other animals. He also experiences separation anxiety, but does well at home with the support of medication.

Luffy
He is a loving, neutered adult cat found near death in North Okanagan. Rescued skinny and lifeless just 2 months ago, Luffy has come back to life with zest! He is wonderful with all kinds of animals and people - thrilled just to have a second chance.

Luffy is diabetic and very skinny, so he does need insulin medication - which is a very minuscule dose - twice a day, usually around 8 AM and 8 PM. Specialized diabetic type food is a good idea for him too.

Ideally, we would love an experienced adopter to allow Luffy to live out the rest of his life as he has so much more love to give. Whether you have experience with diabetes and giving injections or not, we can train as it’s not difficult - however it has to be done consistently every day and provided for when away from home with a Pet Sitter. Anybody not experienced with diabetes in cats we can train them. The cost of the medication per month is less than $50. We will start them out with a 6 months supply.

We are not looking for a Vet cost recovery for Luffy as a kind donor has paid forward the adoption fee. He is neutered and up-to-date in his vaccines, deworm and microchip.

Sweet Oakley dog is a neutered male looking for his new forever home. Oakley is now about four years old - but didn’t have the best start to life. His original owner 3 years ago abandoned him with a friend who wasn’t prepared to take on a dog for the rest of his life. Sadly, Oakley was surrendered to another organization, then adopted by a beautiful young couple who gave Oakley an amazing three years.

He’s had an enormous amount of training through his adolescent years, to settle him down and help him with boundaries. Yet Oakley is a free spirit who needs more now.

Consistent with his breed, Oakley could use vast space on a farm or a small acreage where he can be his true self. The best life for Oakley would be with an adult family as a working dog and family pet - and constant companion- on a large property, with lots to do from dusk till dawn.
