Rescue Program

Save lost, stray and abandoned animals

The Okanagan Humane Society works to provide collaborative solutions for care of our community animals.

OHS Volunteers work directly with residents, community members and 25+ local veterinary partners to rescue and provide necessary spay, neuter, ID and veterinary care for unowned or lost, abandoned, feral and homeless dogs, cats and kittens.

Foster homes then provide sheltering for these animals while they heal and until reunited with owners or adopted to new loving homes. OHS needs foster families for dogs and cats. Please sign up today if you can help:

Report Stray Animals: Building Community Solutions

Donate to help with Emergency Care for stray animals

OHS receives calls of animals in need of urgent medical care often. We don’t know when they will happen, what emergency will be, or how big the bill will be to pay.

YOU can help by donating so ensure lost, abandoned animals get the emergency medical care they need.

The Emergency Medical Fund is used to support medical procedures and surgeries from spay, neuter and vaccines to more extensive injuries including broken limbs or needed surgeries.
